FC Barcelona are reportedly preparing a shock swoop for an unwanted Chelsea star in the January transfer window.
In the past few seasons, the Spanish giants have lured former Blues stars such as Marcos Alonso, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Andreas Christensen away from Stamford Bridge.

It looks like similar could happen again, with the Blaugrana weighing up the possibility of signing Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea, according to Sport.
The former England U21 star joined the Blues in 2022 from Aston Villa, but has struggled to find consistent game time, largely due to injuries.
This season, the midfielder has been excluded from new boss Enzo Maresca's plans, with the Italian coach revealing publicly that he wanted Chukwuemeka to leave the club in the latest transfer window instead of staying at Chelsea and fighting for his place.
Maresca told Goal: "I will say exactly the same thing I have said many times: Carney is a very good player, but for the amount of players we have, we decided at the beginning of the season it is probably better to leave and go somewhere, prove himself and playing 30 or 35 games than being here and play less games. Unfortunately that didn't happen. He is our player. He had some minutes the other day, today he was not involved. Hopefully, we can give him more minutes."
Barca are said to keen to sign Chukwuemeka on loan in January 2025, with the 20-year-old having played once this season, an appearance in the Carabao Cup.

The Blaugrana are also reported have their eyes on another Chelsea star, Romeo Lavia, who has also had his fair share of injury struggles since joining from Southampton in August 2023.
