"When I started here, I wanted to create an environment where players could give their best. Their mentality is brilliant", Flick said after the game, as per Football Espana.
"It wasn't easy today but we defended very well. We have to continue on this path.
"We can now go home and celebrate this victory. I have given the players two extra days off."
Barcelona goalkeeper Inaki Pena stated the wins over Bayern Munich and Madrid this week shows they can beat anyone.
"We came from playing Bayern Munich, we knew this week was key for what is coming in La Liga and we've achieved two results that are brutal", Ancelotti added.
"We have six points, but there are still many games left. The important matches are against the best teams in the world and we've shown we have the ability to beat anyone, we have that mentality and we have changed."
