FC Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez has labelled Pedri as one of the best players in the world in his position.
The 20-year-old notched up his 100th appearances for the Catalan giants when he replaced Ousmane Dembele in the first half against Girona.
The Spain international went on to mark his milestone appearance with a goal, as Blaugrana cemented top spot in LaLiga.

"He makes the difference in the game. He goes in between the lines, gives the last pass, and if you now add in assists and goals," Xavi said after the game, as per Marca.
"We're talking about one of the best players in the world in his position."
Despite moving six points clear of second-place Real Madrid on Saturday, Xavi still wants his side to improve in certain areas.
"We must dare to do more things in the attack. We have generated many chances under high pressure, but we have not been completely accurate in attack. We need to be calmer in the opponent's half," he added.
"I leave satisfied with the three points, but we have to improve."
