The World Football Governing Body has confirmed the extended version of the club competition will feature 24 teams from across the globe in a new exciting format.
Qatar 2020 that is set to take place in December, will be the last seven-team tournament, while the other major changes are the dates of the spectacle.
FIFA revealed the new competition, as of next year, will be every four years, instead of annually, and it will take place in June during the European off-season.
The qualification process for African clubs will be dependant on the 2021 CAF Champions League, where the finalists of the tournament and the winner of a playoff between the semi-finalists qualify for the 2021 Club World Cup.
For European clubs, both the winners and runners-up of the UEFA Champions League finals between 2018-2021 will amount to eight representatives.
South America will have six representatives, Asia, North, and Central America will get three each while Oceania has been granted one spot.
