Lionel Messi's Inter Miami have booked their spot at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, in which Mamelodi Sundowns are set to feature.
FIFA have formally announced that Inter Miami are the latest club to qualify for next year's Club World Cup in the United States.

The Florida-based club has received its spot after winning the MLS Supporters' Shield on the weekend and also finishing top of the Eastern Conference in the regular season, and will play the in the opening match of the tournament at the Hard Rock Stadium on 15 June 2025.
They have become the 31st side to qualify, with just one more spot to be filled in the new, expanded 32-team format.
Inter Miami played their final game of the regular Major League Soccer season on Saturday, with the David Beckham-co-owned outfit claiming an impressive 6-2 victory over New England Revolution.
Messi scored a hat-trick in the match and received more good news when FIFA president Gianni Infantino confirmed his team's Club World Cup qualification in the post-match celebrations.
"We all know how Miami is in love with football and how Inter Miami is supported from across Florida and beyond for your exciting brand of football," the FIFA president said, according to the body's official website.
"Congratulations on your wonderful 2024 Supporters' Shield success. You have shown that in the United States, you are consistently the best club on the field of play.
"Therefore, I am proud to announce that as one of the best clubs in the world, you are deserved participants in the new FIFA Club World Cup 2025 as the host club representing the United States.
"... We are looking forward to you hosting the opening match in Miami on Sunday, 15 June 2025.
"It's sure to be a great celebration for global club football as the tournament features the best 32 clubs in the world, and provides a new opportunity for clubs, players, coaches, and fans alike to take their stories to the world."
It has also been confirmed that 12 venues are set to stage the games across the US, while the group-stage draw is slated to take place in December 2024.

CAF has four representatives in the tournament, namely Al Ahly, Esperance de Tunis, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Wydad Athletic Club.
