The European champions could face the record nine-time CAF Champions League winners in the prestigious tournament if Mosimane guides them past tournament hosts Al Duhail.
And ahead of the showpiece, the Germany international recalled their laboured display against Raja Casablanca in the 2-0 triumph in Marrakech back in 2013.
"We already know Al Ahly. They're the African Champions League winners, so it wouldn't be an easy game at all," Neuer said in an interview with FIFA media.
"The same was true in 2013. It's not very easy to play against sides you don't know very well."
The 34-year-old went on to discuss their sixth Champions League triumph and the unique experience of the altered format within the coronavirus pandemic.
"It was a dream, we experienced wonderful moments together as a team and as a club in Lisbon. The format was different due to the coronavirus, so it was quite special. We grew closer together as a team," he said.
"It was a fantastic feeling, including for the players who were part of the side that beat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley [in 2013]. It was a dream to be able to repeat that.
"[Winning a historic sixth title] is obviously an extra motivation. We're looking forward to the Club World Cup. We've got a clear objective in mind and we want to achieve it in a positive way."
