Portugal thrashed Switzerland 6-1 to book a spot in the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals on Tuesday, with Goncalo Ramos getting a hat-trick on the night.
Cristiano Ronaldo was surprisingly named on the bench with Ramos named in the attack, but Bruno Fernandes returned for Portugal after starting on the bench against Korea Republic.
It was the same Ramos that opened proceedings in stunning fashion 17 minutes in after he dropped an angle wide of the area and thumped in the roof of the net from a narrow position.

Selecao made the contest comfortable two minutes from the half-hour mark after veteran defender Pepe towered in the area and guided in a pin-point corner-kick from Fernandes.
Portugal released further openings thereafter and a snap attempt from a clever angle by Ramos after he charged onto a penetrative pass required Sommer to palm away.
The 2016 European champions added a third goal shortly after halftime as Ramos sneaked in at the near post and tucked in Diogo Dalot's cross.
More heartache fell on the Swiss as a flowing move towards the area on 55 minutes had an unmarked Raphael Guerrero charge in on the left and fire in the top corner.
Switzerland pulled one back three minutes thereafter when Manuel Akanji attacked a ball in the area and drilled in a pin-point corner.
Ramos stole the show midway in the second period where he beat the offside trap and attacked a lay-off from Felix before he clipped one over Sommer to complete his hat-trick.
As Ronaldo entered much to huge roars, Selecao grabbed the sixth goal in time added on after fellow substitute Raphael Leao dropped out wide and curled in the far corner.
Fernando Santos' troops managed to set-up a quarter-final encounter with Morocco on Saturday.
