Zlatan's WC prediction: 'It's already written who will win'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has made his prediction as to who will win the 2022 FIFA World Cup out of the remaining four nations, suggesting that the stars are aligned for a certain player to lift the famous trophy.

The tournament in Qatar is nearing its completion with just two rounds of fixtures left (excluding the third-/fourth-place play-off).

Croatia will be hoping they can spoil Lionel Messi and Argentina's dream in their semi-final on Tuesday night, while surprise dark horses Morocco will be aiming to continue their hot streak against France on Wednesday.

With Sweden missing out the competition, AC Milan forward Ibrahimovic has been watching the spectacle from the sidelines, and has now given his verdict as to who he thinks will emerge victorious.

"I think it's already written who will win, and you know who I mean," the 41-year-old said, per rfi.

"I think Messi will lift the trophy, it's already written."

The striker added that Croatia and France are "strong nations", but feels an Argentina victory is inevitable.

Ibrahimovic also revealed that Morocco's journey to the semi-finals is not too much of a surprise to him.

"I don't think it's a surprise because I knew they were good before the World Cup," the veteran explained.

"Then obviously in the World Cup everything can happen.

"That they reached the semi-final, maybe a little surprised, but remember it's a good team, a good nation.
