A Chelsea star has come in for some major criticism after his errors proved costly for Senegal in their 2022 FIFA World Cup defeat to the Netherlands on Monday evening.
The Dutch national team walked away with a 2-0 win as Cody Gakpo and Davy Klaassen got on to the scoresheet late in the Group A match.

This defeat was the first time Senegal had lost back-to-back World Cup games, while the Lions of Teranga have also failed keep a clean sheet in the tournament since their debut against France in 2002.
With Sadio Mane missing the World Cup due to injury, Senegal struggled to show a threat up front, only getting their first shot on target in the 65th minute when Boulaye Dia tried to sneak one past Dutch goalkeeper Andries Noppert.
After the match, former Rangers footballer and manager Ally McCoist took aim at Chelsea shot-stopper Edouard Mendy for the two goals the African champions conceded.
"I wasn't too happy with the first and I'm not too happy with the second," the 60-year-old said, per the Daily Metro.
"He just palms in to an area where he should be pushing it wider.
"[Memphis] Depay comes in, oh dear me, the goalkeeper is really poor, it's a comfortable one for him.
"Does he see it late? It's not even going in. Just a follow-up from Klaassen for the goal."
Arsenal legend Ian Wright added: "For me, the goalkeeper has to do better. A goalkeeper of his calibre should be pushing that into a safe zone."

Senegal boss Aliou Cisse, however, chose to focus his criticism on the front line despite Mendy's clear errors.
"We are disappointed to have not scored, we had two or three very good chances," the manager said, per Sky Sports.
"We needed to be more effective in front of goal.
"Ismaila [Sarr] and Krepin [Diatta] are responsible there, but of course, the absence of (Sadio) Mane is a problem for us... Our attackers are good and we know what they are capable of.
"It was a challenging game... We need to work on it [scoring goals] with Ismaila and the others.
"We expect a lot from him and Krepin."
