Another manager has officially lost his job after an early 2022 FIFA World Cup exit.
The first head coach to bite the bullet in this tournament was Mexico's former boss Gerardo Martino, who left El Tri on Wednesday night.
On Thursday, two teams who were initially tipped as potential contenders for the title, Belgium and Germany, faced the humiliation of an early exit.
The Red Devils needed a victory in their final game to go through but Croatia held on for the 0-0 draw in their tie, which ensured that the latter, as well as Morocco, have qualified for the round of 16 from Group F.

This result came as a surprise for many as Belgium entered the tournament as the second-highest-ranked team in the world, per FIFA's rankings.
Following the stalemate, Red Devils manager Roberto Martinez confirmed his time with the team was up.
"My situation is very clear. This is the end for me," the former Everton manager told reporters, per ESPN.
"Whatever the result of this tournament, I took the decision before the World Cup.
"It's all about long term.
"Since 2018, I could have taken many jobs.
"I don't resign, it's just ending like this."

Belgium also released an official statement apologising to their supporters.
"We are extremely disappointed after the early exit of our national team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar because we have failed and thereby let down the people of Belgium who supported our team all the way through," the Royal Belgian FA said in a statement.
