2014 FIFA World Cup champions Germany have announced their official 26-man squad for the upcoming grand showpiece in Qatar.
The Germans will be one of the favourites to win this year's competition given their rich history at the tournament, which has seen them win it on four occasions, the joint second most alongside Italy and behind record holders Brazil.
Perhaps unfortunately for Hansi Flick's side, they have also seen some of their key players ruled out of the event due to injury, including RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner and Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus.

While a BVB veteran has been left out, Flick has called upon their rising star and 17-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko, who will be 18-year-old by the time his country plays their opening group game against Japan on 23 November.
The squad also includes regulars Joshua Kimmich, Leroy Sane, Kai Havertz, and Leroy Sane. Bayern duo Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller will also be playing at the fourth World Cup for Die Mannschaft, making them the longest serving members of a relatively young team.
One of the surprise inclusions is perhaps that of Mario Gotze, who scored the winning goal at the 2014 edition of the showpiece. After making the move from PSV Eindhoven to Eintracht Frankfurt at the start of the season, the attacking midfielder has found himself back into the national team fold for the first time since 2017.
