Juventus coach provides update on Pogba

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba is unlikely to feature for the Serie A side before France coach Didier Deschamps announces his squad for the FIFA World Cup.

Pogba is in a race against time to get fit before the World Cup as recovers from a knee injury, which he sustained in pre-season.

Juventus play three matches before France coach Didier Deschamps make his squad announcement on 9 November, but Pogba will not be featuring in those encounters.

"(Federico) Chiesa and Pogba are not in the squad. There is no way that they will be picked on Wednesday (against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League) and 99 percent they won't be available for Inter Milan either," Allegri said, as per Foot Mercato.

"If they come back, and it's very unlikely, they will be available for Verona and Lazio. But it's very unlikely."

The defending World Cup winners will already be without Chelsea star N'Golo Kante, who formed a good partnership with Pogba in the midfield.

France have been drawn in Group D alongside Denmark, Tunisia and Australia.
