The report claims that the current African Player of The Year is set to spend several weeks on the sidelines, giving his national team coach Aliou Cisse a huge concern before announcing his final 26-man squad for the tournament.
After the Bavarians' big win, head coach Julian Nagelsmann confirmed that the player would go under further evaluation to determine the the severity of his injury.
"He took a knock to the head of his tibia," the German said.
"It's always uncomfortable. He has to have an X-ray. I hope nothing is wrong.
"I didn't see him after the game, I hope it's not a big injury. But I don't know at the moment', the Bayern boss continued. 'We'll see tomorrow and then give an update."
Given how instrumental the former Liverpool star has been for Senegal, leading them to an Africa Cup of Nations title and qualification for the upcoming World Cup, he looks set to be heavily missed by his side.
