It is understood the contract includes an option to renew for another season.

The move will also see Ramos once again play in the UEFA Champions League, a tournament he won four times with Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos legend reportedly chose to snub offers from Al Ittihad and a couple of Turkish clubs in choosing to return to his boyhood side.

He had become a free agent after his two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain expired at the end of last season.
