El Clasico: Samuel Eto'o backs Lionel Messi to put Real Madrid to the sword

FC Barcelona legend Samuel Eto'o has revealed which player he believes will be the difference-maker against Real Madrid in this weekend's El Clasico.

Eto'o, who represented both Barca and Los Blancos during his playing career, was speaking during the LaLiga Santander Ambassadors Gala on Tuesday when he revealed which player he believed would make the difference in the derby.

"I would like it to be Lionel Messi, and especially that FC Barcelona wins this El Clasico," Eto'o said. "But, there's [Karim] Benzema in Madrid right now who could decide the match. So, let's see.

"We [Barcelona] are playing at home with no audience, with the difficulties we've had this summer, if Messi is going to leave, if he's not going to leave, it was not certain.

"Let's at least have that joy [that he stayed] and let's hope that he decides things."
