Koeman was announced as the successor to Quique Setien last week which coincided in president Josep Bartomeu revealing several club legends will depart ahead of their new project.
While the uncertain future of captain Lionel Messi and Suarez' imminent exit dominating headlines in Spain, Koeman has now also informed experienced trio Rakitic, Vidal and Umtiti that they are surplus to requirements.
According to Spanish news outlet Sport, Barcelona are open to facilitating a smooth exit but will look to command transfer fees in order to raise funds for their dramatic overhaul.
It's believed Koeman has spoken to each member of the squad individually to inform them if they form part of his plans, although Umtiti and Rakitic were said to have been prepared to leave prior his arrival.
The Croatia playmaker has attracted interest from Serie A in recent months, however, UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla are also said to be keen on luring him back to Spain.
Meanwhile, Umtiti has also attracted interest from Italy and Vidal is being courted by Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus and Internazionale ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
It's also been reported in Spanish media that former sporting director Eric Abidal's last signing Junior Firpo has been told he can leave on loan after just one season at the club or leave permanently with a €20-million price-tag set.
