Five possible transfers for Luis Suarez

After Luis Suarez was told to leave FC Barcelona by new manager Ronald Koeman, no fewer than five clubs have already been linked with a move for the Uruguay superstar's signature.

Suarez's six-year stay at Barcelona is set to come to an end in the coming weeks after he was reportedly told by newly-appointed Barca manager Koeman that he no longer has a future at the club.

The 33-year-old is believed to have been informed of the Dutchman's decision via a brief phone call on Monday in which he was also asked to agree to the premature termination of his contract.

While the details of the Suarez's inevitable settlement with Barca are yet to be finalised, a number of suitors will have already begun queuing for his services, including former club Ajax Amsterdam.

ICYMI: Koeman tells Suarez to leave Barcelona

"You are always looking for ways to strengthen your team," Ajax manager Eric Ten Haag told AD following the emergence of the reports.

"Of course, I have discussed it with Marc [Overmars] but at the moment it is not a theme. You have players that you get as replacements and you have players in the category that they give an incredible boost to the team. Suárez falls into that category."

The Uruguay international has also been with a return Liverpool, another of his former clubs, as well as a surprise move to Juventus where he has been mooted as a potential strike partner for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Spanish publication Sport claim that Suarez could reunite with former Barca teammate Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain, while a move to David Beckham's Inter Miami remains a strong possibility for the veteran forward.

The two-time European Golden Shoe is Barcelona's third-highest goalscorer of all time with 198 goals in 283 appearances, and he has won no fewer than 13 major honours during his time with the Catalan giants.
