Real Madrid returned to top of LaLiga with a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Las Palmas on Saturday evening.
Madrid appeared without star man Jude Bellingham, who carried a one-match suspension and hauled Brahim Diaz in his place before Dani Ceballos deputised for Federico Valverde.
Rodrygo got a perfect chance on five minutes to put the visitors ahead with a one-on-one, but sound goalkeeping from Alvaro Valles narrowed the Brazilian's angle.
Another opening came for the visitors later on through a long-range free-kick from Toni Kroos following a professional foul, but Valles got behind the effort.
Los Blancos didn't stop going on the front-foot and a telling shot from Vinicius Junior ten minutes before halftime from a clever angle pushed Valles to a smart save.
The Yellows were energised after the break thus very nearly went into the lead with a low attempt from a decent position by Munir El Haddadi, but Andriy Lunin showed stern reflexes.
It took the Yellows just six minutes to go ahead as Javier Munoz peeled off a square ball into the area from Sandro to apply a composed finish in the bottom-corner.
This forced the visitors to go to the bench midway in the half and introduced Joselu ahead of Diaz before Valverde made way for Ceballos.
Madrid were inspired thereafter and levelled as Vinicius cooly allowed Eduardo Camavinga's through pass in his stride to slot in the bottom-corner.
Los Blancos remained composed afterwards and completed the turnaround with eight minutes to go when substitute Aurelien Tchouameni headed in a pin-point corner from Kroos.
The title-chasing visitors didn't surrender the advantage as full-time loomed and ended up with the win to go atop the table.
