Bellingham inspires Real Madrid to comeback win

Jude Bellingham's brace inspired Real Madrid to a come-from-behind 3-1 victory over Almeria in LaLiga on Saturday evening.

Defender Eder Militao's long-term injury opened a return for Antonio Rudiger and veteran midfielder Toni Kroos replaced Eduardo Camavinga in Madrid's two changes from last weekend's win.

However, it was a disappointing start for Los Blancos as a brilliant counter-attack had Lucas Robertone play a smart ball in for Sergio Arribas to place a strong header past Andriy Lunin.

Englishman Jude Bellingham followed up his debut strike last weekend when he bagged the equaliser inside eleven minutes with a well-controlled finish off Federico Valverde's knockdown.

The host were desperate to regain the lead thereafter, but weren't able to breakdown their counterparts from the Spanish capital despite promising moves from the likes of Robertone.

Madrid had a goal disallowed on the brink of halftime when Kroos guided home Dani Carvajal's delivery, but it was called back for offside following a Video Assistant Review (VAR).

It was a relatively slow start in the second half, with extremely few openings either end as the host moreover eagerly looked to reclaim the lead.

Los Blancos did go ahead over 12 minutes after the interval when Bellingham charged late in the area to nod in a cutback from Kroos and complete his brace.

Kroos spell was cut short as Camavinga came on before the evergreen Luka Modric came on for Brazilian international Rodrygo Goes.

Bellingham stole the show again when he combined with Carvajal to set-up Vinicius Junior to tuck in their third with a calmly taken finish around the last ten minutes.

Madrid comfortably managed to run down the remaining exchanges and went on to secure a second straight victory in the league.
