Lionel Messi & Luis Suarez equal Ronaldo Nazario record

Messi was Argentina's hero as La Albiceleste opened their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with a 1-0 win over Ecuador, while Suarez also found himself on the scoresheet in Uruguay's controversial 2-1 win over Chile.

Of the trio, the Argentina ace has scored the most goals overall (including friendlies) with 71 goals to his name, while Ronaldo and Suarez trail with 62 and 60 goals, respectively.
