FC Barcelona legend Samuel Eto'o has sent the club a clear warning after captain Lionel Messi's sensational transfer u-turn.
Messi, 33, announce his decision to remain at the LaLiga giants for the 2020/21 season after initially handing in a transfer request after growing disillusioned by the club's ambitions.
In an interview with Goal, he discussed how the transfer policy and the lack of young emerging talent brought into the squad discouraged him and reached boiling point after their embarrassing UEFA Champions League exit.
And now Eto'o, who played alongside the record six-time Ballon d'Or winner has come out to send a message to the club's hierarchy.

"I am happy because my son Messi has stayed at his house, but at Barca, we need other players with Blaugrana DNA. Messi alone is not enough," the four-time African Player of the Year said at a LaLiga event, as per TuttoMercato.
"You need to look for players on the market with tiki-taka style and not box to box."
Eto'o, who scored 130 goals in 199 games for the Blaugrana over a glittering six-year stint went on to discuss one of the club legends who is believed to have fallen down the pecking order.
"I would like to see Sergio Busquets back at the highest level, Barcelona always wins when Busquets is in good form."
