The Netherlands have appointed Frank de Boer as their new national team coach following Ronald Koeman's move to FC Barcelona.
De Boer, who won 112 caps for the country during his playing career, takes over the reins on a two-year deal after previously holding managerial roles with Ajax Amsterdam, Inter Milan, Crystal Palace and Atlanta United.

"Frank de Boer has been appointed national coach of the Dutch national team," the KNVB announced via their official website on Thursday afternoon.
"The 50-year-old former international will be at the helm of the Oranje for the next two years, up to and including the [FIFA World Cup] in Qatar, which will be held in the autumn of 2022.

"De Boer will start his work for the KNVB with immediate effect and is therefore already on the bench in the upcoming exhibition match against Mexico and the Nations League duels with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Italy."
