Report: FC Barcelona plotting free transfer move for Paul Pogba

FC Barcelona are reportedly planning to sign Manchester United star Paul Pogba for free at the end of the season.

New manager Ronald Koeman has been tasked with rebuilding the Barcelona squad following a massive overhaul during the most recent transfer window, and is reportedly looking at a number of players who will be available on the cheap when the campaign draws to a close.

According to Mundo Deportivo, United midfielder Pogba is one of the Dutchman's key targets alongside Bayern Munich defender David Alaba, despite the 27-year-old having recently expressed his desire to represent LaLiga rivals Real Madrid.

It is claimed the France international is open to a move to the Camp Nou and "prefers" not to renew his contract with the Red Devils in the event that one of the two Spanish giants come calling for his signature.

The Blaugrana are also believed to be monitoring the contractual situations of Sergio Aguero, Arkadiusz Milik, Angel Di Maria, Oriol Romeu, Juan Bernat and Gianluigi Donnarumma, all of whom are currently out of contract at the end of the season.
