Report: Luis Suarez told to train alone

FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has reportedly been told to train alone by new manager Ronald Koeman.

Reports surfaced in Italy this week claiming the Uruguayan had agreed a deal to join the Serie A champions after being deemed surplus to requirement by Koeman.

It is believed that Suarez was not too pleased about the news from the new Barcelona manager, with some reports claiming he was 'very upset' after the one hour phone call.

Now according to ESPN, Koeman has now told the 33-year-old to train by himself even if it means upsetting his close friend Lionel Messi.

Suarez and Messi remain close friends, with the pair recently spotted at the latter's home which reports state could have been a farewell.

However, Spanish journalist Guillem Balague reported on Friday that the outcome of Messi's future has no effect on what will happen to Suarez, after the Argentine confirmed he will be staying for another season.

Suarez has spent six years at the Camp Nou following his switch from Liverpool, and he has gone on to become the club's third highest scorer of all-time with 198 goals in 283 matches.
