FC Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has revealed that Ajax Amsterdam defender Sergino Dest is expected to become the club's fifth signing of the season.
Koeman was speaking to the media on Wednesday ahead of his side's clash against Celta Vigo when he confirmed that Dest, 19, was currently undergoing a medical ahead of his reported €20 million (R394 million) transfer from Ajax.
"Sergino Dest is undergoing a medical examination and he still has to sign the contracts so I prefer to wait, but when he signs he will be a very useful player for Barca, with experience in the Champions League and a lot of quality," Koeman said, per Sport.

Reports from Spain claim that the deal is expected to be completed overnight and that the Dutch-born United States international, who will compete with Sergi Roberto at right-back, will officially be announced as a Barcelona player on Thursday.
Dest will become the club's fifth signing of the 2020/21 season, following the prior arrivals of Miralem Pjanic, Francisco Trincao, Matheus Fernandes and Pedri, while no fewer than 11 players have departed.
