A statement on the club's official website reads: " Paris Saint-Germain is pleased to announce the arrival of Marco Asensio. The Spanish striker joins the Parisian club for three seasons, until June 2026."

Asensio himself said of his new adventure: "It's a privilege to be part of this great club that is PSG. I look forward to joining my new teammates and working with them to achieve great goals."

The Parisian outfit has had a busy week, confirming the departure of Christophe Galtier following his arrest in connection with racism and discrimination allegations, and the arrivals of both Enrique and Milan Skriniar earlier today.

With Asensio now officially on PSG's books, he is understood to have completed his medical as early as last month and put pen to paper on a deal that will run until June 2026.
