Cristiano Ronaldo linked with massive swap deal

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly ready to offer Juventus one of their star players in exchange for Cristiano Ronaldo.

With the Portugal captain's future still up in the air, the French club are now willing to swap striker Mauro Icardi for Ronaldo, according to L'Equipe.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has once again been linked with a move away from Turin in this window, and fuelled speculation two days ago when he posted a cryptic message on social media, claiming that it was "decision day".

Ronaldo is yet to return to Juve from his holiday after Portugal disappointed at the 2020 UEFA European Championship, and rumours continue to spread as the forward now has just 11 months left on his current contract.

According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, the Serie A side is willing to accept an offer in the region of £25 million (R497 million) for the 36-year-old after posting losses of more than $135.4 million (R1.9 billion) for the first six months of the 2020/21 campaign.

The Bianconeri themselves were heavily linked with Icardi before he moved to PSG in 2019, and reports suggest that they have set their sights on the Argentine after his difficult spell in the French capital.
