Former France international striker Djibril Cisse has opened up the door for a shock return to football at the age of 38 in order to chase a historic milestone.
Cisse retired from football back in 2017 in order to focus on his DJ career but made comebacks to represent Swiss side Yverdon and Italian minnows Vicenza.

But the 41-time capped Les Blues striker whose career stalled due to two horrific leg-breaks is keen to return to the French top-flight when football resumes.
The eccentric striker netted 70 league goals in 128 league games for Auxerre and finished top scorer twice before a £14-million transfer to Liverpool in 2004.

Having won the UEFA Champions League during his two injury-hit spells in England he returned to his homeland with Marseille for three seasons, while also representing Bastia between 2013 and 2015.
As things stand, Cisse is just four goals shy of the 100-goal milestone in Ligue 1, which he admits irks him.

"At the start, it was almost a joke," Cisse told L'Equipe about his comeback plans. "But little by little, it really became a wish.
"I have always said that passing the 100-goal mark was something very important to me. Being four goals away bothers me."
Cisse previously suggested he would 'play for free' at any top-flight side to achieve his goal and has reiterated his burning desire for the landmark.
"If it doesn't happen, at least I would have tried and I could close the book of 100 goals, but until I try everything, I won't be at peace."
"You have to see this as a bet, as an additional player in the workforce and not as an element that can play 90 minutes. Even I can't lie to myself to that extent, but I can still contribute."
