Algeria winger Farid El Melali has reportedly been taken into police custody after being accused of masturbating in public.
The 22-year-old Angers star has been under national lockdown in France since Ligue 1 was suspended two months ago and is said to have been arrested on Monday.
It's been claimed that the footballer was seen by neighbours masturbating in the courtyard of his complex while peeking into the home of someone on the ground floor.
Get French Football reports that it's the second time he's arrested for a similar act and his lawyers have reportedly put forward the defence that El Melali thought nobody could see him.
A product of the famous Paradou academy in the Algerian Ligue 1, El Melali pleaded guilty on charges of 'sexual exhibitionism' and was able to return home.
According to Le Parisien, he will be slapped with a hefty fine and is set to be judged in the context of a pre-conviction appearance.
The latest event occurs just a week after he agreed to sign a new contract extension with the French top-flight club until the end of the 2022/23 season.
