Paris Saint-Germain recorded their first win in Ligue 1 after defeating RC Lens 3-1, with Kylian Mbappe netting twice on Saturday night.
Mbappe started for the host after scoring from the bench last weekend, with new boys Goncalo Ramos and Lee Kang-in out through injury.
Luis Enrique's charges displayed the earlier momentum and threatened the lead through a telling ball to the area by Achraf Hakimi, but Vitinha failed to get on the subsequent delivery.
PSG defender Milan Skriniar was put to work at the back and shaped a move involving Florian Sotoca and Adrien Thomasson well behind target as the tense opening continued.
Mbappe could've made the breakthrough with a speculative volley late in the half from a half-space scenario, but it was parried off the line before goalkeeper Brice Samba calmed matters.
However, the title holders momentum came through seconds to halftime when a telling pass by Warren Zaire-Emery saw Marco Asensio smash into the bottom-corner for his first goal for the club.
Two substitutions ahead of the second half by the visitors saw Stijn Spierings come in for Abdul Samed while Przemystaw Frankowski moved out for Julien Le Cardinal.
Mbappe, however, doubled the lead seven minutes after the break as he combined with Lucas Hernandez before finishing past Samba to make it two goals in as many games.
Mbappe was in again around the midway stage of the half with a near post attempt following a flowing move, but Samba stood tall on this occasion.
With a balanced late quarter, Enrique's men remained in control and got a third goal as Mbappe got hold of Fabian Ruiz's pass to complete his brace.
Lens did pull one back in the dying seconds when Marco Guilavogui capitalised on poor defending to turn home Sotoca's ball, but it was too little late as PSG picked up their first win of the season.
