Keagan Dolly's Montpellier saw their three-game unbeaten run ended at the hands of Strasbourg in Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon.
Dolly was handed his first start of the season in the French top flight while Lebogang Mothiba started on the bench for the home side.
Strasbourg shaded the possession statistics in the first , but there wasn't really anything to liven up the crowd in the 20 openings at the Stade de La Meinau.
The deadlock was eventually broken on 25 minutes, as Ludovic Ajorque bagged his second goal of the season after being picked out by Alexander Djiku.
At the other end, Montpelleir had a chance to restore parity on the stroke of halftime but Petar Skuletic saw his penalty saved by goalkeeper Matz Sels.
It wa s more of the same in the second half, as the visitors found it tough to break down the Strasbourg defence and managed two efforts on target.
Mothiba was eventually introduced on 81 minutes, with Nuno Da Costa making way but the home side were able to see out the closing stages to get back to winning ways.
