Paris Saint-Germain continued their stuttering form in Ligue 1 as they were held by Nice while Nimes got back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Reims.
Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Nice
Edinson Cavani missed a penalty in stoppage time as newly crowned Champions Paris Saint-Germain were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Nice on Saturday afternoon.
Ignatius Ganago broke the deadlock for Nice a minute into the second stanza and Neymar brought PSG level on the hour-mark from the penalty spot.
Cavani had a glorious opportunity to clinch victory with a penalty in the third minute of stoppage time but his spot-kick was saved by goalkeeper Walter Benitez.
Bordeaux 0-1 Angers
Angers won only for the second time in their last six matches as they edged Bordeaux 1-0 at Stade Matmut-Atlantique on Saturday afternoon.
Stephane Bahoken scored the decisive goal for the visitors five minutes before the break.
Bordeaux and Nice have no immediate relegation worries and are also not in contention for European places.
Guingamp 0-0 Caen
Caen inched a little closer to getting out of the relegation play-off spot after playing to goalless stalemate against bottom side Guingamp on Saturday afternoon.
Caen would be slightly disappointed with the stalemate though after winning their last two matches. They are now three points away of safety languishing third from bottom while Guingamp are now winless in their last six matches and blew their chances of at least salvaging a relegation play-off spot, five points behind Caen at the bottom.
Reims 0-3 Nimes
Nimes bounced back from their 5-0 defeat against Lille last Sunday, with a 3-0 thrashing of Reims on Saturday evening.
Jordan Ferri gave the visitors the lead in the 26th minute and Renaud Ripart doubled the lead two minutes before the break.
Denis Bouanga sealed the three points for Nimes a minute into the second stanza.
