Lois Diony opened the scoring for the visitors in the 19th minute but Raphinha pulled Rennes level six minutes thereafter and Da Silva snatched the winner in the third minute of stoppage time.

St. Etienne will host Nice in their upcoming league clash on Wednesday evening, while Rennes will travel to Metz on the same evening.
