Ligue 1 wrap

Paris Saint Germain returned to action in Ligue 1 to see off Nantes 2-0 at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening.

Kylian Mbappe hit the opener seven minutes before the halftime while Neymar sealed the win from the penalty spot on 85 minutes.

Stade Rennes registered a 1-0 win over Metz at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.

The winner arrived five minutes before halftime courtesy of Adrien Hunou as Rennes sit in seventh while Metz remain in the bottom three.

Saint-Etienne got back to winning ways after smashing OGC Nice 4-1 at the Geoffroy-Guichard on their own turf.

Denis Bouanga netted a brace to go along with goals Romain Hamouma and Wesley Fofana, as Kasper Dolberg came up with the consolation for Nice.

AS Monaco were back to winning on the trail following a 2-1 victory over Toulouse at the Stadium Municipal.

A fifth minute penalty from Wissam Ben Yedder gave the visitors the perfect start, but Yaya Sanogo also replied from the spot on 40 minutes, with Gelson Martins firing the winner after 84 minutes.

Dijon FCO battled to earn a 2-2 draw against Montpellier at the Gaston Gerard Stadium though remain near the danger with the visitors in sixth spot.

Dijon got their goals via an own-goal from Junior Sambia and Stephy Mavididi, but Montpellier responded through Florent Mollet and Teji Savanier.
