Lionel Messi has apologised to his Paris Saint-Germain teammates for taking an unauthorised trip to Saudi Arabia.
The Argentine seemingly caused a stir by travelling to Saudi Arabia on a promotional trip, although he did not get permission from the club.

The Ligue 1 leaders have reportedly decided to suspend the Argentine World Cup winner for two weeks with immediate effect.
Messi took to social media apologise for his actions and is awating his punishment from the club.
"I thought we were going to have a day off after the game as always.
I had this trip organised and I couldn't cancel it. I had already cancelled it before…"
"I apologise to my teammates and I'm waiting for what the club wants to do with me".
