Mbappe's mom reveals his anger towards PSG

Kylian Mbappe's mother has now opened up about her son's anger towards Paris Saint-Germain.

Things came to a head earlier this month when the 24-year-old superstar publicly expressed his frustration towards the Ligue 1 giants over his image rights.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner was featured in a marketing video promoting the sale of 2023/24 season tickets, but while fellow teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar were not included in the video, the Frenchman was almost exclusively featured in the promo, a decision that reportedly left him enraged.

"I have just taken part in the viewing of the club's renewal campaign for the 23/24 season," he wrote on Instagram at the time.

"At no time was I informed of the content of the interview with my interlocutor. It looked like a basic interview at a club marketing day. I disagree with this posted video.

"That's why I fight for individual image rights. PSG is a big club and a big family, but it is certainly not Kylian Saint Germain."

With his statement on social media believed to have caused tension between the player and the club, Mbappe's mother Fayza Lamari has now revealed that her son was so angry about the situation that he was willing to accept any consequence as a result of his online outburst.

"Kylian spoke from his heart in the heat of the moment, he was angry," she explained in an interview with French broadcaster Public Senat.

"He reacted like a kid who was born in the social media age. Everyone has their own way of communicating.

"He called me and he was angry. I understood how he felt and I told him: 'Right now, in the heat of the moment, is not the time to react, leave it for now and there will be time to ask for explanations later.'

"And he replied: 'No, I don't want to wait. I know what the consequences are and I will accept them.'"
