Neymar accused of racially abusing Olympique Marseille defender

Earlier in the month, PSG suffered a 1-0 defeat to rivals Marseille in a heated derby encounter that saw five players being given their marching orders, including Neymar, who was red-carded for slapping l'Om defender Gonzalez.

Following the match, the Brazil star took to social media to hit back at Gonzalez, whom he accused of directing racially offensive language towards him during the clash.

According to Cadena COPE, however, Neymar was reportedly guilty of making racist remarks himself earlier in the match, when he allegedly called Marseille's Japanese defender Hiroki Sakai a "Chinese s***".

It is claimed that Sakai informed his club of the alleged comments after the match and that Marseille are in possession of video footage supporting the 30-year-old's accusations.

These latest revelations against Neymar come just days after the 28-year-old publicly rebuked Gonzalez for allegedly calling him a "son of a b**** monkey".

"You are not a man to admit your mistake, losing is part of the sport, now insulting and bringing racism into our lives, no, I don't agree," Neymar added in a tweet after the match, as loosely translated.

The Spaniard denied the former FC Barcelona's star's accusations and took to his own social media accounts after the incident to dismiss Neymar's comments.

"There is no place for racism... Sometimes you have to learn to lose and take it on the field. Incredible 3 points today. Allez l'OM. Thanks, family," Gonzalez tweeted.
