Neymar fuels Paris Saint-Germain exit talk with FC Barcelona admission

Paris Saint-Germain's wantaway superstar Neymar has revealed the greatest footballing moment of his career so far, and in doing so, seemingly fuelled speculation of a return to former club FC Barcelona.

Neymar, 27, became the world's most expensive footballer of all time when he sealed a transfer from the Blaugrana to PSG worth €222 million (R3.5 billion) in 2017.

The Brazilian, however, is reportedly keen on a reunion with Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou, and speculation regarding the Selecao star's future has intensified after recent developments.

The former Santos talisman, who missed Brazil's Copa America triumph due to injury, failed to turn up for PSG's first day of pre-season training, prompting the Ligue 1 champions to release a statement revealing that the player had gone AWOL.

In response to the statement released by the club, Neymar's father broke his silence on the matter, and offered a different version of events, claiming that the Parisian giants were well aware that his son would not link up with his teammates on the first day of pre-season due to other commitments.

With Neymar the subject of reported interest from both Barca and Real Madrid, it has been claimed that Les Parisiens have made peace with losing their prized asset provided that they recoup most of the €222 million they spent on the Brazilian in 2017.

The former Santos star has now added further fuel to speculation linking him with a return to Barca, revealing that his greatest footballing moment thus far in his career is the Blaugrana's incredible 6-1 victory over PSG in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League round of 16 tie in 2017.

"When we scored the sixth goal against PSG. I have never felt anything like that," Neymar said at the Red Bull Neymar Jr's Five World Final event in Brazil, as per Give Me Sport

"When we beat PSG in Barcelona, that was really special. The dressing room went completely crazy, really happy.

"I think it was the best feeling we have all experienced together."

Neymar made 186 appearances for Barca between 2013 and 2017, finding the back of the net on 105 occasions and registering 76 assists.

At PSG, the dribbling wizard has played in 58 encounters, scoring 51 times and being on hand to register 29 assists.
