Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar has shared his thoughts on his failed departure in the last transfer window, after the links with FC Barcelona.
Neymar was certainly at the middle of the biggest transfer saga in the off-season after informing PSG of decision to leave after just two seasons in Paris.
PSG director Leonardo confirmed during the latter stages of the transfer window that Barcelona had submitted a written offer for the Brazilian, but it did not meet the Ligue 1 side's requirements.
"Everyone knows what happened in the summer market and the desire I had to leave," he said, as quoted by AS.
"Today, I feel happy and comfortable with the club, too. It's not just with the national team that I'm happy.
"The season started out very well for me. I will defend my club tooth and nail. I will give 100% for us to achieve great things.
"It was a long summer for me. I knew that I had to prepare, in all circumstances, for a good season," he added.
"Thank God, it has started well and I hope it stays that way."
