Neymar resumes training with Paris Saint-Germain amid FC Barcelona return links

Neymar has completed a return to Paris Saint-Germain's training ground after going AWOL amid speculation linking him with a return to FC Barcelona.

Neymar, 27, has been heavily linked with a reunion with Lionel Messi at the Camp Nou, with the rumours intensifying after the world's most expensive player failed to turn up for the first day of pre-season training with PSG last week.

As per French publication RMC Sport, the Selecao's third highest goalscorer of all time made the trip from Sao Paulo to Paris on Monday morning and subsequently boarded another flight, arriving at PSG's Camp des Loges training centre at 9:10.

The former Santos star was reportedly the last player to arrive at PSG's training complex after German goalkeeper Kevin Trapp, with the likes of 2018 Fifa World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe and coach Thomas Tuchel said to have arrived 15 minutes prior to the Brazilian.

Les Parisiens are believed to have conceded defeat in their bid to keep hold of Neymar, who has been linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent weeks.

As per Marca, the Ligue 1 club is prepared to part ways with the playmaker if they recoup most of the €222 million (R3.4 billion) they spent on him in 2017.

While Neymar is believed to be desperate to seal a return to Barca, it has also been claimed that PSG are not keen on seeing the player return to his previous employers, and would rather sell him to the Catalan club's arch-rivals Los Blancos.
