PSG 'make decision' on coach after UCL exit

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made a decision on coach Christophe Galtier's future after their club's UEFA Champions League exit this week.

The French giants were bundled out in the round of 16 after losing 2-0 to Bayern Munich in the second leg on Wednesday evening.

There has been a pattern with PSG that the manager, whose future will be under scrutiny after not performing in the Champions League, a trophy which the club have never won.

According to Goal, Galtier will continue in his position as head coach at least until the end of the season despite reports of  the coach losing parts of the dressing room.

PSG are still in pole position to win a record 11th Ligue 1 title this season, but that will be the club's only piece of silverware after their disappointing exits in the League Cup and French Cup.

Le Parisien, meanwhile, reported that both Galtier and director Luis Campos will keep their jobs unless the club somehow fails to win the league title this campaign.

Galtier has called on his charges to fight until the end as they look to claim another Ligue 1 title.

"The media sends out the message that winning the title is easy. It's not. Winning is not normal. We might have an eight-point lead, but we're going to have to fight until the end," the coach said, as per Get Football News France.

"It's a big blow for the squad but we shouldn't play down becoming champions. When I see what happens in other leagues – for example, look at Bayern Munich – they don't win the Champions League every year, but every time they win the league title they're proud of it, they celebrate it with all of the club's employees. We will have to fight until the end."
