PSG trying to 'hijack' Man Utd's move for €70m striker

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly trying to hijack Manchester United's move for a striker, who is believed to be worth €70million.

The Red Devils have already signed England international Mason Mount and and Cameroonian shot-stopper Andre Onana, but the club are still looking to sign a number nine.

The Premier League side have been linked with a number of strikers, but it seems they have landed young Atalanta forward Rasmus Hojland.

Renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Danish striker has already agreed personal terms with the Red Devils, who now need to work out a deal with the Serie A club.

However, Romano has now claimed that PSG have entered the race and have already made contact with Hojland's representatives as Atalanta wait for United's first offer.

United manager Erik ten Hag has already revealed the club will do everything in their power to sign a striker for the upcoming season.

"We will do everything that's in our power to get the right man in," Ten Hag said in his first pre-season press conference, as per the Daily Mail.

"You never know in the transfer market, but we know our targets and we'll do everything we can. We put every effort in to get this done because it's an area where we need improvement.

"We proved also last season we can be very successful even though we didn't have too many strikers. I expect more from the front players, a high level. They have to raise the bar and we expect more goals."
