Players Abroad: Amiens' survival hopes dealt hammer blow

On 9 June, a court ruling suspended the LFP's decision to relegate Amiens and Toulouse and directed that the structure of the country's two top divisions be reconsidered in light of the cancellation of the season.

In light of that ruling, the LFP met to discuss proposals to expand the Ligue 1 to 22 teams – thereby allowing Amiens and Toulouse to remain in the top flight – and unanimously voted against expanding the league, per GFFN.
