Report: Kylian Mbappe tells Paris Saint-Germain he wants to leave

Mbappe has long been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, as Los Blancos are yet to fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018.

According to Spanish publication OK Diario, Mbappe has informed the Ligue 1 champions that he wants to leave the club.

With the player's contract at PSG expiring in 2022, he reportedly does not want to surprise the club by a sudden departure and leave for free. Instead, the report claims Mbappe's decision will allow PSG to garner a fee for his services when he does leave.

Fellow 2018 World Cup winner Adil Rami feels his countryman has already made up his mind about leaving the French capital.

"I think it's done, especially since it's not moving forward in the (contract) discussions," he told RMC Sport.

"You have the impression that it annoys him to talk about it, he does not talk about it with the club, his entourage.

"And from the moment where it annoys him, it means he does not want to hear it. It is awkward for him. His future is all mapped out and it's sad for the Parisians, even for Ligue 1. I love this player."
