Reports in England claim that European champions Chelsea were also interested in the Moroccan, but it is believed PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino and director Leonardo made the player a priority.
The report added that Hakimi will sign a five-year deal after already agreeing personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants over a month ago.
