BREAKING! Man Utd make huge manager call!

Manchester United have announced a major decision regarding manager Erik ten Hag.

The Red Devils have confirmed their decision to part ways with the Dutch tactician, with Ruud van Nistelrooy set to take over as the man in charge for the interim.

"We are grateful to Erik for everything he has done during his time with us and wish him well for the future," the club said in an official statement.

It went on to add that his replacement, Van Nistelrooy, will be supported by the current coaching team as the side searches for a new permanent head coach.

The decision to part ways with the former Ajax Amsterdam boss comes after United suffered a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday, their fourth loss of the season.

Ten Hag was appointed in April 2022, leading the club to a Carabao Cup triumph in 2023 and beating Manchester City to lift the FA Cup earlier this year.

However, the side recorded its worst-ever Premier League finish last season, ending the campaign in eighth position on the table after winning 18 and losing 14 of their 38 encounters.

The Red Devils then made an underwhelming start to the 2024/25 campaign, and are currently 14th on the table after nine games.

While the side has struggled with results, picking up just three victories, the Dutchman's men have not been firing in front of goal, managing to find the back of the net on just eight occasions.
