With Manchester United confirming that they have parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo, the Portuguese forward has now broken his silence on his exit from Old Trafford.
The 37-year-old caused a stir in recent weeks after refusing to come on as a substitute during a 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur, while in his recent interview with British broadcaster Piers Morgan, he criticised Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag, previous boss Ralf Rangnick, some of his teammates, and the owners the Glazer family, and said he felt "betrayed" by the club.

United swiftly responded to the interview by stating that they have "initiated appropriate steps in response" to the striker's actions.
On Tuesday evening, the Manchester club confirmed that they have parted ways with the veteran and thanked the five time Ballon d'Or for his "immense contribution"
Ronaldo has now released a statement of his own after his exit was confirmed.
"Following conversations with Manchester United we have mutually agreed to end our contract early," the statement read, per EuroSport.
"I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change.
"However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.
"I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future."
