Ten Hag's new top transfer target for Man Utd 'revealed'

Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified a new top transfer target for Manchester United.

The Red Devils are now said to be in pursuit of one of Europe's most sought-after players, with the club widely expected to have a busy transfer window in the off-season as Ten Hag looks to build the side to his liking following his first season in charge.

A handful of players have been linked with the side recently, including Harry Kane, Jeremie Frimpong, Orkun Kokcu, Randal Kolo Muani and Victor Osimhen.

However, despite reports suggesting that the Manchester team has already made an approach for some of these stars, the former Ajax Amsterdam boss has reportedly earmarked a new player to be the top priority for his side ahead of the 2023/24 campaign.

According to Manchester Evening News, United have rolled out the red carpet for Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham as an ideal long-term successor for departed playmaker Paul Pogba.

It is claimed Ten Hag kept a very close eye on the England star during the recent 2022 FIFA World Cup, and feels the former Birmingham City prodigy can go on to create history at Old Trafford.

It was also reported earlier this week that Liverpool have decided to end their pursuit of Bellingham due to the huge transfer fee he would command ahead of any potential move.

United now look to be in pole position in the race for his signature, although the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation.

Bellingham is expected to cost upwards of €100 million (R2 billion), with his current market value standing at a staggering €120 million (R2.4 billion).
