Ex-Man Utd star: Sancho is one of the club's biggest flops

A former Manchester United star has hit out at Jadon Sancho, labelling him as one of the club's "biggest transfer failures".

The England international is said to be on the verge of re-joining German side Borussia Dortmund on a short-term loan, with Louis Saha questioning the player's mindset.

Since joining United in July 2021, Sancho has managed to make 82 appearances, scoring 12 goals and assisting eight times. However, since the beginning of the 2023/24 campaign, the winger has made only three appearances after a fallout with Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old is set for a return to Germany with Dortmund said to be covering a portion of the salary along with a loan fee of €4 million (R816 million). The loan deal, however, is believed to not include a buy option.

With his move said to be imminent, Saha revealed that he does not back Sancho.

"Jadon Sancho is one of Manchester United's biggest transfer failures. You can't have that type of quality side-lined because of his mindset," Saha told Paddy Power via GOAL.

"We know that he is good enough, which is why it doesn't sit right. You can't be putting yourself in that situation and thinking that you are bigger than the manager.

"Whatever happens, I don't back Sancho – which is hard for me as a supporter of United. It's just horrendous."
