Ronaldo's next move 'all but done'

Cristiano Ronaldo's lucrative move to the Middle East is reportedly on the verge of being completed.

The Portuguese forward has been widely linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr in recent weeks, with reports in November suggesting that the 37-year-old has agreed to a salary in the Middle East that would make him the highest-paid player ever.

It was said that the free agent had agreed a two-and-a-half year deal worth £172.9 million (R3.5 billion) a season with Al Nassr, and would also be an ambassador for Saudi Arabian football.

Now, according to Marca, the 37-year-old will remain on the continent after the World Cup in Qatar finishes as he is on the verge of signing a deal with the Saudi club.

The report adds that Ronaldo will play for the club from the turn of the year.

It is believed Al Nassr has shown the most interest in the forward since his sudden exit from Manchester United in November.

There were reports that another Saudi team, Al-Hilal, were ready to make a lucrative competing offer for his services, but it appears Al Nassr have won the race for his signature.
